Most industries in Denpasar are small industries that produce specific waste. In handling this waste it needs accuate planning alternative rather than regular planning which suit  to the characteristics of the waste, economy  and effective. This alternative  industrial waste handling in Denpasar includes the appropriate treatment process from the view of  some  aspects namely  cost, the existing land for the process  treatment  installation, waste characteristics, waste collection system, and industrial waste flowing system. This planning needs data such as industrial waste  characteristics, study in the field towards condition of the existing procces in indistries, data on the  number of industries in Denpasar.

The alternative system for handling industrial waste for industries in and out of the DSDP service area is by providing collecting tank at each of the  industry, after the collection of  which the collection is transported  to IPAL DSDP. Before treatment process at IPAL DSDP the industrial mixed waste collection needs pre-treatment process to eliminate high organic pressure and substance potential to create  toxic for the  continuation of the operational of aerated logoon. From the trial  in laboratory over 5 (five) kinds of industries namely silk screening, printing, film proceesing, workshop, laundry industries in which all  wastes are mixed show that phenol content is still high. The way out is to provide pre-treatment by using coagulation process and flocculation using alum as the coagulant. For the implementation it needs study  over  the operational  system, tariff, considering that most business using small  industries.
